PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff

PG&E will be performing a Public Safety Power Shutoff in certain parts of Lake and Mendocino County starting as early as Tuesday at midnight.

North Coast Networks has a contingency plan in place to try and keep as many of our customers as possible online should an emergency shutoff occur.

Our main infrastructure locations already have built in emergency generator back-ups which will switch over automatically in the event of a power disruption. However, there are certain limitations of which you should be aware.

  1. The backup generators cannot run indefinitely. If the shutoff is prolonged, we will need to preserve power in order to keep as many customers online for as long as we can.

  2. If your home/business is without power, you will not be able to get online unless you have solar power or a backup generator.

  3. If your home/business has power, but our access point is down, we have a contingency plan in place to use mobile back-up generators but we will need to prioritize their usage in order to keep as many customers online as we can.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as the community deals with what could be a challenging event. Please be assured that we are doing all we can to keep service available for as many of our customers as possible.
